WHAT SHE DOES:
Holistic Homestead began in 2005 as a woman owned small farm production. The owner, Gretchen Norman Woody has sold to the local Bellingham Farmers Markets, Haggen, Markets Grocery, Food Coops and countless Restaurants since the opening of her sustainable farm practice and entrepreneurship. During her expansion in 2011, her business title transformed into Spring Frog at the Holistic Homestead when taking on 10 local grocery stores solo handed in Whatcom County.
By 2012, Grown Local Distribution Services was born, and Gretchen Woody began this distribution company for farmers to help her with these large accounts. She has been Certified Grown Local by the Grown Local Global LLC since 2012 and Certified Organic since 2006. Spring Frog Farm will continue to grow healthy foods without harmfull herbicides and pesticides and has dedicated customers and clientelle. She feels it is more important to be Certified Grown Local instead of certifed organic.
Gretchen has retired from the hustle and bustle of farmers markets to directly provide her products to the Nugents Corner Market, Dandelion Organics, Food Coops, On-Farm Upick and Farm Stand Market, Special Orders, and Nursery Plant Stock for sale.
Gretchen has also started a New Line of Health and Wellness Products through the original roots of her oranization, the Holistic Homestead.
