 Eco-Friendly Packaging

The Bellingham Farmer's Markets and local natural grociers are supported by shoppers in the local community. Community members are demanding responsible packaging for the finest produce.

Shoppers are encouraged to bring and re-use a shopping bag or basket at any market.

For delicate produce such as fresh cut greens, berries, and tomatoes, the farmer provides corn plastic packaging:

Produce Bio-Bags

Shopping Bio-Bags

Clamshell Containers

Fresh Greens Bins

**Note: The corn-plastic produce bags are intended to safely carry greens to your home. The responsible packaging may NOT store greens as long due to the material being more porous, breathable, and permeable. To store fresh greens longer, PLEASE transfer into a different storage container.   Greens  will  last  from 7-10  days  when  stored  properly.

Also paper,

Paper Bags

Pulp Berry Baskets

Chip-Board Baskets

Both corn-plastic and paper are made from renewable resources and are biodegradable.
